Trash and debris removal bids
The board-funded litter patrol has removed over 46 tons of trash from county roads since late 2025, recycling more than 22,500 pounds and returning about $2,400 to the program. Board members called the roughly $120,000 annual investment well worth it.
LST Mooring Dock Project
The port is paying $44,805 a year in rent for a dock it wants to get rid of. The board is lining up condition assessments and valuations so potential buyers will bid, but first has to work out the legal surplus-property process with the city.
Utility Rate Increase Pause Resolution
Requiring flowable fill in utility trenches was adding big costs — over $120,000 on one small water main project — that would land on ratepayers. The board let the water utility use cheaper compacted granular fill on Poplar Grove, betting that better compaction practices will protect the roads.
